On the feast of St Martha, the BLA unit of Santa Cruz Community, Kulshekar, gathered for the Annual celebration of its Patron's day. 25 members gathered around the Altar of the Lord for the solemn celebration of the Eucharist, along with the Community Sisters. Rev Fr Pius James D' Souza - the Episcopal vicar of Mangalore Diocese, officiated the Eucharist and invited all the gathered to imbibe the spirit of Martha, Mary and Lazarus especially to be with Jesus and to move with Jesus in all the situations of our life.  Mrs. Irene D' Cunha, Mrs Martina and Mrs Wilma Tauro made their commitment.

 

 

 

After that all of them gathered in the community hall for the short felicitation program me. President Mrs Dulcine D' souza welcomed the gathering, Secretary Mrs Treasa Coutinho presented the annual report with the help of slide show, Sr Shalet D' Souza BS the animator greeted the members with words of felicitation. Sr Anna Maria BS the Superior offered  floral greetings and asked them to live the spirit of Martha by meeting the needs of Jesus and one another in their families. Sr Cicilia Mendonca BS the Province co-coordinator for Pastoral apostolate  invited the members to grab the given opportunity with promptness. She also congratulated the animator and all the members for their active and creative participation. Greeting song sung by the Community was really melodious. The members brought out the Para praised "Vovio" highlighting the Konkani tradition, "char deesaso sousar" a song of Wilfy Remembes, enactment of joke and a skit based on the importance of the education. Spot games kept the audience alive.  Whole programme was compeered by Mrs Roseline Pinto and Mrs Alice Lobo proposed vote of thanks. 

  

 

Fr Pius delivered the prizes to the winners of Bible Quiz. Indeed it was a memorable day.
