Sr Afflicta BS after her retirement in 1982 committed herself to the cause of empowerment of women/girls of rural areas through her tailoring classes at Kinnigoly under the auspices of Maryvale Convent. Within a period of 3-4 months, they acquire the skill of cutting, stitching, and embroidery work. After completing their training, most of them get employed either in local shops or engage in self employment and earn their livelihood. Sr Vitalis BS is the Superior at Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoly who ably supervises the activities of the Centre.
