Bethany Lay Association - Kinnigoli

On 24.07.2014 Bethany Lay Association in Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoli was restarted after a gap of one year. Fifteen members were present. At 5.30 p.m Sr M Julian Monis  BS in charge of BLA conducted  a short prayer in the Chapel, thereafter all members gathered in the community hall. Sr M Vithalis BS, Superior, Maryvale Convent welcomed Sr Michelle BS, the resource person of the day and all the old and new members.

Sr Michelle gave an understanding of Bethany Lay Association, making a reference to Chapter Decrees and Church h documents. There after Superior proposed vote of thanks. All the members introduced themselves. Refreshments were served to all participants, after which the meeting was terminated.

Senior Citizens day- Kinnigoli

On July 26th the feast of Joachim and Ann was meaningfully celebrated as the senior citizens day at Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoly.  On July 25th eve, an hour of Thanksgiving  prayer was conducted  thanking God for the gift of our senior sisters and  praying showers of blessings on them.  A special dinner was prepared on this occasion. A short cultural programme was organized wherein the senior sisters as well two maids namely Ms. Dulcine  who serves in the Convent and Ms. Tresa who serves at Maryvale hostel were felicitated, appreciated and congratulated for their dedication, commitment, perseverance  and for growing old gracefully.  The young sisters as well as the candidates greeted the senior members with songs, dances and other entertainments.  Each senior sister was appreciated for her contribution and for her very life by a young sister. The Superior greeted them with flowers and gifts.  The senior sisters were made happy. The day was memorable one for all.
