These words found their completion as a few students of St Raymond’s PU College, Vamanjoor, swore to be leaders of Student body for the year 2014-15 on 25th June 2014. The guests of Honour, Sr Christella BS  the Asst. Provincial of Mangalore Province, Fr Ajith Menezes, the Asst. Director, St Joseph Enginnering College, Vamanjoor, Dr Barkur Uday, Head of the Department of History, Mangalore University, Mr Roy Castelino, President, Konkani Sahitya Academy, were welcomed traditionally with “Poorna kumbha Swagatha”.                                      

 

 


Sr M Cecilia D Souza BS greeted everyone with her words of welcome. Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes inaugurated the Student Council by lighting the lamp and Dr B. Uday inaugurated the NSS Unit by pouring water to a flower plant.  Sr Christella B.S.  in her presidential address stated that only those who take risk will succeed in life. She congratulated the Students and exhorted them to focus on the journey, to move steadily keeping in mind the goal and Core values of Bethany Educational Society. She said to give oneself completely for the service of humanity.                       

Fr Ajith Menezes congratulated the students for their courage and goodwill to take up the responsibility as leaders. He made them clear about their duty and then blessed them and prayed for them that they may be successful in all that they do.                   

 

 

 

 

 


Dr B. Uday made known to the students how important it is for the leaders to be different and to work hard in all spheres, and  Mr Roy Castelino also expressed his good wishes to the students and told them to be sincere and genuine in the responsibility. Sr Cecilia D Souza, the Principal read the Oath from the students.  Master Yakshith, the president of Student Council, expressed his gratefulness towards the Principal, Lecturers and the institution and then promised to work for the welfare of student community.       Ms Vijetha, NSS Unit Leader proposed the Vote of thanks and Ms Sandhya from II Arts compeered the programme.  After the formal inaugural function students exhibited their variety of talents on stage.
