We are entering into twin festal celebrations on 15th of August 2018.Pope Pius XII in Apostolic Constitution of 1950 set forth the Dogma on Virgin Mary “that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory."Virgin Mary enjoys a special status in the history of Salvation.Jesus is acknowledged as the greatest revolutionary the world has ever seen. As Mary identified her mission with that of Christ, we must acknowledge that she is the most revolutionary woman of the world. She succeeded in her mission not through agitation, aggression and street violence but through the total commitment to Jesus and to his mission. The only means she used are self-sacrifice and loving service of the needy. Mary challenges us to focus our attention on Jesus the only way to bring about a radical change in this world to establish peace and righteousness and hence to receive the reward of eternal glory.Being Mother of the Son, she participates in the power of the Son and in His goodness. We can always entrust the whole of our lives to this Mother, who is not far from any one of us.On this feast of Assumption, let us thank the Lord for the gift of the Mother, and let us pray to Mary to help us find the right path and live life in true freedom as the children of God.Love in hearts, faith in words, freedom in mind is the true reward of a free country. Let us honor our patriots, do not allow divisive politics take root in our country. As we are faced with new challenges every day pray that our leaders respect the constitutional rights and ensure every one justice, peace, liberty and brotherhood. Let us storm heaven that in the forthcoming elections a secular, democratic Govt may come to powerand enjoy the beauty of freedom in unison.

Wish you all Happy Independence Day and Solemnity of Assumption of our Blessed Mother!
