Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated on October 2nd in Bethany Eng Med. Hr. pry. School kilpady , we honoured the Mahatma Gandhi,the leader of the Indian Independence movement. This day also observed as the International Day of Non-Violence.
The lighting the lamp is a symbolic gesture, representing the light of truth, knowledge, and hope that Gandhi brought to the world. The headmistress and the staff lighted the lamp and showered the flowers to Gandhiji.
IIIrd, Ist standard students ,scout and guides students conducted cultural programs showcasing Gandhijis life and teaching, speeches, and dances were performed beautifully.
At the end headmistress addressed the students and shared the life of Mahatma Gandhiji and called the students to practice the values in a daily life.
