The Bharat Scouts and Guides Rovers and Rangers is a voluntary, nonpolitical educational moment for youth, open to all citizens without any prejudice, following the purpose, principles and methods conceived by the Founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907. St. Raymond's P.U. College has initiated Rovers and Rangers unit in the college from the academic year 2023-2024 with the guidance of Rover Officer Mr. Jayaram, Physical Education Director, Mrs. Lidwin Crasta, Department of Commerce and Ms. Radha, Department of Kannada. The Inaugural programme of 'Ray Brave Sharks' Rovers and Rangers Unit was held on a September 15, 2023 at St. Raymond's P U College auditorium. The event commenced with the recitation of the preamble of the constitution led by Sr. Anita Lydia BS, Principal of the College. The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp. Rev. Sr. Shubha B.S, Coordinator for educational apostolate, Mangalore province and the Correspondent of the college presided over the programme. In her Presidential address, she highlighted on the purpose of Rovers and Rangers Unit, its contribution towards the development of young people and the exposure available towards huge activities based on adventure and personal interest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Chief Guest Mr. Bharathraj K, Assistant State Organizing Commissioner shared his personal experience being the member of Rovers and Rangers Unit and explained how the unit encouraged to engage in creative and constructive social work and helped in the overall development of the personality . Sr. Anita Lydia, Principal of the college congratulated all the Rovers and Rangers and insisted them to serve the Society with much zeal which lead to self-growth and satisfaction.
