The St Raymond's PU College, Vamanjoor echoed with patriotic fervor as Principal, Lecturers, non teaching faculty and students came together to celebrate the nation's Independence Day in a vibrant and meaningful manner.
Our college proudly celebrates this festival every year but this year added in more zest and enthusiasm as the platinum jubilee celebration of the Bethany Educational Society is at the outset of its conclusion emphasising the four priorities.One among the four priorities being 'peace and harmony' was drawn attention while celebrating our independence day.
The programme began with the prayer service. Then followed by the cultural programme. Patriotic mime and dances were presented by the commerce students. Ms. Sweedal D'souza guided us through a journey of exploring how peace can be a cornerstone of progress, and how harmony can be the melody that lifts us all. Thereafter Sr. Anita Lydia BS, Principal St Raymond's PU College ,in her address emphasised the importance of unity ,peace and harmony in shaping the destiny of our nation.She commended the students for their enthusiasm and urged them to remember the sacrifices made by countless individuals to secure freedom we enjoy today.The programme was compered by Ms. Mukthi.
As the event came to a close, a sense of pride permeated the atmosphere.Thus Independence day celebration was a resounding success leaving a lasting impact on all who participated. Mrs Lidwin Crasta Lecturer in Commerce
