Every year, Republic Day is celebrated in India on 26th January with fervour and enthusiasm. It’s a day to honour and celebrate the Constitution of independent India, to remind us of its significance and deeply understand its importance. This year it is India’s 72nd Republic Day and we salute the great leaders who worked tirelessly to give us a constitution that is visionary and far-sighted. For the people of India, this day is not less than a festival and higher in every sense… regardless of caste, creed and religion, challenge us, to move towards one solitary aim of unity and harmony. The entire country is laced in tri-colours to convey that India is a nation where "Unity in Diversity" is celebrated.
To mark this event with gratitude and joy, the celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag by Sr Lilly Pereira, Correspondent of St .Raymond High School Vamanjoor as well as the Province Council member of Bethany Congregation. In her speech, the Correspondent highlighted the importance of the Constitution and its unique features. The blood donation camp was organized by “Popular Front Blood Donors Forum “.
Students participated enthusiastically in various activities like: preparing national flag, making sandwiches, making videos of dances and patriotic songs, painting, drawing, etc.
As we celebrate the 72nd Republic day …
With Freedom in the mind,
With Strength in the words,
With Pureness in our blood,
With Pride in our souls and
Zeal in our hearts, Let's salute our India on Republic Day. May the brave leaders of our glorious nation guide us to peace and prosperity so that we can hold our heads high and be proud of our country.
Happy Republic Day- 2021
