Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality- Warren Bennis
The special feature in the month of May in Mangalore Province is – it is the time for renewal and refresh. The young and old take delight and attend the renewal and servant leadership programmes arranged for our spiritual growth and committed living. Sr.Ann Teresa, the resource person of our servant leadership programme, with a powerful force gave a clarion call to the leaders to be a faith filled and humane. The two days orientation seemed a joyful experience. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and prayer helped us to introspect, interiorize and surrender our strengths and weakness, aspirations and good intentions to Lord and gain inner strength. The participants remained entrapped and speechless with the enriching life examples as well as the talks given with conviction coupled with prayer. Ultimately, leadership is not about glorious crowning acts. It's about keeping your team focused on a goal and motivated to do their best to achieve it, especially when the stakes are high and the consequences really matter. It is about laying the groundwork for others' success, and then standing back and letting them shine. Provincial Superior Rev Sr Cicilia Mendonca called each one of us to “ A leader is one who know the way, goes the way and shows the way”. All the 38 sisters with Blessings of our Provincial Superior left to their respective communities to live and serve the sisters through the good news which we have received.
