Staff training programme for Teachers from Pre-Primary schools to High Schools was organized by Bethany educational society, Mangalore Province on 27th of May 2014 at St Raymond’s College Auditorium Vamanjoor. It was an opportunity to involve actively themselves in the workshop for new learning. The programme began with an opening prayer led by Sr M Lidwine Jyothi BS. Sr M Christella BS, Asst Provincial Superior / Province Education Coordinator welcomed the guests and the gathering. Inauguration was marked by lighting the Diya, by the dignitaries on the dais.
In her Keynote address Provincial Superior/ Corporate Manager beckoned the teachers to be innovative, creative and up to the mark in the teaching profession. Ms Archana from St Raymond’s Eng Med High School, Vamnjoor was the MC for the day.
Mr Alwyn D’Sa the Resource person and the two representatives from participants lighted the diya.

Mr Alwyn D’Sa Professor, St Aloysius College, Mangalore the resource person of the day asked the participants to break the monotony of the teaching and bring in lot of creativity and thus make a difference. And be, more effective and innovative in our carrier. He highlighted the following points:

Mrs Bridgit Rasquina from Rosa Mystica Eng Med High School proposed vote of thanks to Mr Alwyn D’Sa.
In the afternoon Mr Roy Castelino and team of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy addressed the gathering and invited the Head of the Schools to introduce Konkany subject as III language in the schools.
The afternoon session began at 2.15 pm. Sr M Vidya Pinto BS welcomed the resource person Sr M Esuria BS the Education Co-ordinator from Western Province. She spoke on Bethany Core Values elaborately and enlightened the teachers. So that we can promote the glory of God, work for the Kingdom of peace justice and love.
She also asked the teachers to have a profile of a Bethany Teacher in reference with the Bethany Core Values. Sr M Therese Sequeira BS proposed vote of thanks to Sr M Esuria BS.
At the conclusion Sr M Christella BS invited all the teachers to draw up a plan of action and practice what they have received from the day’s programme.
